…Craft-y Clothes? We had been contemplating confiscating this vintage flannel number from the store for quite some time and when we came across this awesome jeweled button down DIY via Honestly…wtf, we knew what had to be done. After gathering all of our supplies and poking ourselves repeatedly with the needle we were ready to get craft-y! At first, we only wanted to jewel the placket, but then decided to bling out the cool cuffs as well. DIY Tip: don’t be afraid to take your creativity to the next level when working on a new project. We urge everyone to check out www.honestlywtf.com and get inspired this weekend…

…Color Block Cuteness? Happy Monday! In keeping with our cold weather clothes theme, today we thought we would focus on our fall-to-winter transition mission and get creative with this cute little color block concept by The Man Repeller. Style Tip: notice how Leandra matched these retro Missoni leggings with an incredible color blocked frock. This look can be worn to work with flats (preferably loafers or brogues) or at night with a fur vest, edgy kicks of your choice, and a killer clutch. Today’s style star is rocking vintage Chanel earrings from WGACA, an Edwardian-inspired color block blouse in dusty jade with lime green rhinestone detail, and black and silver sparkly chic leggings by Missoni. The winter transition has become our mission, so be sure to check back for more style tips and trend alerts…

…Winter Wares? OK class, today’s lesson is on transitional outerwear. Structured outerwear can make or break your ensemble, so it is always important to incorporate the simplest of staples into one’s wardrobe. For example, the Cosima coat by Nonoo is oh-so-chic and classic. We love the cozy shearling collar, cashmere cotton blend, and skirted hem and this silhouette is perfect for a frigid winter-y day. Also, for those of you who want to stay on-trend with rad plaids, we recommend this gorgeous black and white number from Anna Sui’s F/W 2011 collection. Today’s style star is sporting a feminine chic white Cassis dress by Alice Temperley, super soft black cashmere stirrup pants by Kova&T, and the Cosima coat by NYC designer Misha Nonoo. Style Tip: lace overlays are so beautiful when paired back to leggings, so you really don’t need a slip. Grab a sexy bra and layer your French lace dress over your stirrup pants for a Parisian inspired look…class dismissed. (styled by The Man Repeller)

The Geek Chic? Are you proud of being a geekette? If so, we’ve got the perfect ensemble for you. Known for channeling her inner Urkel, Leandra took this geek chic look to the next level with a fancy bow tie and super stylish specs. Today’s style star is wearing a silk floral print prairie dress by Anna Sui, tortoise shell specs by Linda Farrow, and a navy blue vintage flap bag by Chanel. Style Tip: swap out your “poindexter” specs with sleek round or square shaped sunnies. When in doubt, break your pocket protector out. (Styled by The ManRepeller)
