. . . Balam Acab (@thebalamacab)? Balam Acab first got Style Etoile’s attention with his 2010 See Birds EP—it was basically the soundtrack to our fall. And now with the release of “Oh, Why,” the lead single off his forthcoming full-length WANDER / WONDER, he has renewed our love for him. Balam Acab is 20 year-old Alec Koone and man, oh man, is he talented. Koone uses samples to create moody “witch house” (i.e. haunting, spooky electronica) that is textured and emotional and amazes us more and more with every listen . . .
