…Color Block Cuteness? Happy Monday! In keeping with our cold weather clothes theme, today we thought we would focus on our fall-to-winter transition mission and get creative with this cute little color block concept by The Man Repeller.  Style Tip: notice how Leandra matched these retro Missoni leggings with an incredible color blocked frock. This look can be worn to work with flats (preferably loafers or brogues) or at night with a fur vest, edgy kicks of your choice, and a killer clutch. Today’s style star is rocking vintage Chanel earrings from WGACA, an Edwardian-inspired color block blouse in dusty jade with lime green rhinestone detail, and black and silver sparkly chic leggings by Missoni. The winter transition has become our mission, so be sure to check back for more style tips and trend alerts…

…Winter Wares? OK class, today’s lesson is on transitional outerwear.  Structured outerwear can make or break your ensemble, so it is always important to incorporate the simplest of staples into one’s wardrobe.  For example, the Cosima coat by Nonoo is oh-so-chic and classic. We love the cozy shearling collar, cashmere cotton blend, and skirted hem and this silhouette is perfect for a frigid winter-y day.  Also, for those of you who want to stay on-trend with rad plaids, we recommend this gorgeous black and white number from Anna Sui’s F/W 2011 collection.  Today’s style star is sporting a feminine chic white Cassis dress by Alice Temperley, super soft black cashmere stirrup pants by Kova&T, and the Cosima coat by NYC designer Misha Nonoo. Style Tip: lace overlays are so beautiful when paired back to leggings, so you really don’t need a slip. Grab a sexy bra and layer your French lace dress over your stirrup pants for a Parisian inspired look…class dismissed. (styled by The Man Repeller)

Something about the funky prints, vibrant colors, and oversized two-toned sunnies from the 60s and 70s just screams chic to us.  Today’s Style Star (Alina Gonzalez, aka The Hyperbalist) is sporting a feminine frock by Anna Sui, a super cozy cardi with a complimentary polka dot sash by Sonia Rykiel, and super groovy Jackie O inspired sunnies by Linda Farrow.  Style tip: always remember to use accessories in innovative ways—notice how Alina is wearing the polka dot sash in her hair, completing her super psychedelic 60s look . . .

. . . Anna Sui (@AnnaSuiSales) ? Style Etoile has always eagerly awaited Anna Sui’s fashion shows—we can’t get enough of her ever-present rock ‘n’ roll/bohemian chic theme. So when we got the chance to personally work with Anna, we were ecstatic. As many of you fashionheads know, Spring 2011 was one of Anna’s best collections, but believe us when we say her Fall/Winter 2011 collection is even better. In fact, it is SO amazing we have been inspired to give away a signed copy of her new book (which features her collections and edgy inspirations) to a lucky reader! Stay tuned for more details . . .
